Incorporate Women’s History Month into your speech therapy sessions with three free matching games! First, I made a free download in black and white so that you don’t have to use up a lot of ink to use this resource. Kids will learn about important women and match them up with small paragraphs that they have to read. If you have students working on reading comprehension, this quick activity will be easy and fun. Then I went ahead and made two color, digital versions of this game that can be used on computers, laptops, or the iPads.
Furthermore, it’s important to remind students of the accomplishments that women have made over the course of time. The women included in this pack are: Oprah Winfrey, Amelia Earhart, Clara Barton, Wilma Rudolph, Jane Goodall, Florence Nightingale, Marie Curie, and Helen Keller. These women include both living and dead public figures and women of color as well. Students learn of women’s impact in the past and also during their lifetimes as well.
