Who else is just managing the best they can, but not that great? I really have been struggling, but taking it day-by-day. Everyone is adjusting to a new normal, but it won’t be forever. Employers are doing their best too. If your employer uses the G-suite of tools (workplace gmail, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Calendar, etc), many of them are transitioning to Google Meet for IEP meetings (and quite possibly therapy). In fact, I had a couple IEP meetings over Google Meet earlier in the week for one of the districts I work in. Because most of us have no clue how to use Google Meet, I filmed a tutorial for you guys. To get to the website, go to https://meet.google.com and be sure to be logged in to your work Google account. Comment below to let me know if you use the G-suite at work!
In the video I cover all of the features of Google Meet, at minute 3:02 I show you how to use the Google Meet App, and at minute 5:36 I go over HIPAA compliance. The office of Health and Human Services has issued some guidance about HIPAA during these extenuating circumstances the country is experiencing. https://www.hhs.gov/hipaa/for-profess… Read about how HHS wants us to deliver services and remove the barrier of HIPAA regulations, if we are acting in good faith to provide services to those who would not get them otherwise. Don’t quote me: read the HHS statement for yourself: https://www.hhs.gov/hipaa/for-profess…
Also, if you didn’t already, watch the Teletherapy Tutorial on Zoom. It’s been getting a lot of attention – thank you for sharing it: https://youtu.be/AuKtGQCNrnU Thank you for watching this video!

I am new to teletherapy but my school wants us to use it. I did a test Zoom session with my nephew and his son and daughter which went pretty well. They were very helpful. They did have a question that I would like the answer to. I was playing a board game with them and they wanted to know if I could make the board more visible to them. How would I do that? I used my laptop with its own webcam.

Hi Karen! Sorry for the delay in my reply. There’s a way to “Share” — a green button on the bottom of the screen. The bottom “control panel” has those buttons. When you click on “Share” you get an option to share any of your open windows, your entire screen, your iPad, or the built-in Whiteboard in Zoom. Does that help?
