When you are inside the course, you’ll find a master class tutorial on Zoom and Google Meet — and you can request a tutorial of anything teletherapy related and I’ll create a video about it and place it inside the course for all to use and learn from.
What is Teletherapy?
Teletherapy is simply a different method of service delivery. That means that the same services are being provided, but it is just being provided virtually in an online setting over the computer. There are many different specialities that can be provided over the computer especially those in the educational and healthcare sectors. Those include teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, and even teachers of the visually impaired.
Is Teletherapy Different?
Are you struggling with the transition to the new setting of teletherapy? It can be overwhelming to transition to another setting, but let me tell you that it’s so worth it! Teletherapy reenvigorated my passion for being a speech-language pathologist. I had been burnt out after ten years of being in-person in the schools. Changing settings was a wonderful way for me to try something new, which I desperately need. Working from home also took any much of my anxiety that I had had previously been working in the stressful school environment.
2020 Donation
In June 2020 when this course was first launched, a portion of the proceeds was donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The Greater Chicago Food Depository is an organization that has been supporting families experiencing food insecurity for a long time – and especially during the COVID pandemic.
