Hi everyone, I want to touch base with you about the Speech Buddies Speech Tool Set! As I talked about in a previous video (scroll down for my video review of the SH tool), I became a fan of Speech Buddies back in 2013. I had purchased the single SH speech tool for a monolingual English speaking student who had a lateralization on SH. She had never been able to produce a correct SH in isolation. Speech Buddies showed her the correct tongue placement and it worked for her (and I became a believer).
This time I’m sharing the entire set with you guys so you can get a look at all the tools. I think these tools can be helpful for students during distance learning who have placement errors. If the parents can afford it, they could get single tool and work at home under your direction over teletherapy. I know from my experience in teletherapy that it’s tough to teach placement cues from afar.
Another thing I LOVE 💕 about their website https://www.speechbuddy.com is that they have a directory where you can list yourself for free as an SLP and get private practice referrals. It has yielded more referrals and requests for speech therapy than any other website including ASHA!
