8 Aug

Grandparents Day is the perfect opportunity for kids to show appreciation for the special people in their lives. But let’s be honest—between busy school schedules and limited prep time, finding a meaningful, low-stress activity can feel tricky.

That’s why I created my Grandparents Day Coupons printable set. Grandparents Day projects can be take a lot of work, but this is easy. Print them out for a fun and personal way for kids to say “I love you” to Grandma, Grandpa, or any special grown-up. Also, it’s free.

Why Coupons Make the Perfect Grandparents Day Gift

Grandparents love gifts that come straight from the heart, and nothing says “I care” more than a promise of time together, a hug, or help with a favorite activity. Coupons are:

  • Customizable – Kids can fill in names, special titles (Nana, Abuelo, Pop-Pop), and personal touches.
  • Budget-Friendly – No need to buy supplies—just print and go.
  • Keepsake-Worthy – Families can save the coupons as sweet mementos.

What’s Included in the Set

This printable pack comes with four different versions so every student can create something unique:

  • 18 pre-filled coupons for Grandma (with a blank for the student’s name)
  • 18 pre-filled coupons for Grandpa (with a blank for the student’s name)
  • 18 flexible coupons with a blank for the grandparent’s name (great for Nana, Yaya, Nonna, Abuelo, etc.)
  • 9 fully blank coupons so kids can write their own “Good for…” ideas

Each page has 9 coupons—just print, cut, and bundle into a booklet or tuck inside a greeting card.

Ideas for Using the Coupons

  • In the Classroom: Have students decorate and fill in their coupons during a writing or art center.
  • At Home: Encourage kids to think of acts of kindness or special activities their grandparent would love.
  • For Non-Traditional Families: Use the blank name option so kids can make them for an aunt, neighbor, “grand-friend,” or any older role model.

Some of the Pre-Filled Coupon Ideas

  • One big hug
  • A game night together
  • Breakfast in bed
  • A walk in the park
  • Reading a book side-by-side
  • A silly joke (warning: it might be terrible!)
