About me

Five years ago this month, I started writing about speech therapy here. I cannot believe that five years have passed. It feels like a really long time that actually flew by — such a paradox! I felt like I needed a little corner of the universe to discuss my feelings about speech therapy — and boy have I said a lot. Here are the stats:

You readers, have made this a true labor of love! I love writing and creating. This blog and my store are a deep passion for me. Speechisbeautiful.com has turned into a wonderful side project and is helping me slowly pay off my student loans (yes, I’m still paying those off even 13 years in the profession – ha ha).

Even though it seems like there are a lot of speech therapy bloggers these days, there really is a lot to say about speech therapy! I hope that my corner of the universe has provided some quality content for you over these five years. I appreciate that you have stuck with me!

A year ago I started doing YouTube videos to extend the blogging experience into a vlogging journey. PLEASE SUBSCRIBE to my channel because it helps my content reach more people 🙂

My first post on April 27, 2014 was all about using the iPad in speech therapy and I *wish* I could give away an iPad for my blog’s fifth birthday (wouldn’t that be cool?). But, even after five years, I’m not able to give away something that awesome right now. HOWEVER, let’s make a date of it and how about in FIVE MORE YEARS I’ll give away an iPad for my blog’s ten year birthday?! If you keep coming back, that will become a reality!

So I have a question for you!! How many five-year-olds do you know? What do five-year-olds love to do? Play games of course!
